St Laurence Road Street Association in Northfields, Birmingham has come up with a novel way of getting the whole street into the Christmas spirit. Nearly all the 24 dates of advent are taken up by a different house in the street, with a promise from each to decorate their window on that day, leading to a growing announcement of Christmas and uniting the whole street in a new way in the process. What a great idea!
