A spate of candle-lit curry evenings has recently been reported around Kingstanding, Birmingham and parts of Solihull.
These involve a delicious and inexpensive meal, a quiz, and then a sing-along, which has tentative participation at first, and finally rowdy and hilarious involvement by the end.
These have proven to be a popular addition to the Street Association staple and really help a smaller group of people (one or two dozen, typically) to get to know each other much better.
And they’re great fun.
